Freebie! Vector Paisly Pattern

Over on he built a wonderful Seemless Vector Perforated Metal Pattern (boy that was a mouth full). He mentioned he wanted to do a seemless paisley pattern. I though hmm… can’t be too hard.

Once I found references I was able to start building it.
My Paisley Sample

About 90% of the work was creating the Paisley design. Once I had that down (I built custom brushes) the patterning was easy.

Download is in the update after the jump…

So here is the link to the pattern:

Update: I’ve posted a tutorial and the files here.

Download it then extract it to your Illustrator Pattern Folder. Launch Illustrator and go to your Swatches pallet. Click the little arrow XMP Arrow, then click on “Open Swatch Library”. You should see it in that list.

Be sure to check out the rest of this blog and all my freebies!

TIP: If you need to move the pattern then double check your transform options:

How can I open this with Corel X3???

  5. @Jay
Corel may open .eps files, but I don’t know for sure. Try the download and see if the .eps will open.

I did do an illustrator tutorial, so you may be able to learn from it:
